In Tuvalu, significant progress has been made in recent years to ensure that women and girls have equal opportunities in all spheres of life. Efforts have been directed towards increasing women's participation and leadership in decision-making processes, promoting access to quality education and healthcare, and preventing gender-based violence. Furthermore, Tuvalu recognizes the critical role of women in sustainable development and climate change resilience.

The National Gender Equity Policy and the Policy for the Tuvalu National Policy for Persons with Disabilities are two crucial instruments stating our priorities and providing guidelines for the whole of government, civil society, communities, and development partners. Those instruments highlight the importance of partnerships among government agencies, civil society organizations, and development partners to drive change and create an inclusive society.
